I recently joined anchor Sara Sidner on CNN to discuss Trump’s alarming rhetoric about NATO. It’s well known that Trump holds little regard for the alliances which form the bedrock of our national security, and at a campaign rally he declared that he would not protect certain NATO states from a hypothetical Russian invasion. Although Trump is just talking about an imaginary scenario to rile up his base, it’s hard to be amused when so many Ukrainians are suffering every day in the fight for their freedom and for their lives. In this interview, I highlight the damage that is done to our international credibility by such carelessness, as well as the stark contrast between the chaos of Trump and the calm, steady leadership of President Biden.
