Today, history was made. Tonight, I am very proud for all Americans and for my people. Thank you Senator Booker, for your bold action and strengthening us and our hope and belief in the promise of our US Constitution.
It was painful yet on-point listening to Senator Cory Booker and his Democratic colleagues discussing on the Senate floor today the many ways people have already been harmed in their respective states by the cruel firings, and the de-funding of a multitude of programs that make Americans' lives better. Thank heavens for Senator Booker's courage and determination to right what is clearly wrong. There is no excuse for what this Administration is doing to our country. Where are the Republican leaders who have the integrity and the guts to call this what it is - an administrative coup that is ruining our institutions, our economy, and the decency of our country? All of the Republican members of Congress who accept these actions without expressing pangs of conscience or objection, without joining together to stop this travesty... they will be remembered as the selfish sycophants who did nothing to stop what they must know is wrong for their country.
Let's not forget about the millions of folks who voted for these scumbags. And in floriduh, are STILL voting them! There is NO excuse in my book, cult, dumb, bigotry, racisism, patriarchy, misogeny, fascism. No excuse.
It was uplifting to hear Senator Booker with his heartfelt marathon effort to bring attention to all of the atrocities being committed by this administration. Instead of reading the news and sobbing, I read about Cory Booker and felt that something was finally being done by Congress. Thank you to Senator Booker and also Rep. Vindman.
Dire in content but also extremely uplifting. I couldn’t sleep last night so listened to some then caught the last 1 1/2 hours tonight. Maybe this is what was needed “some good trouble” to wake our congressman/woman up. Maybe one or two on the gop paid attention too.
I called both of our Senators and Warner's office said he'd already "spelled" Cory Booker by asking one of the questions other D Senators were asking (with extended "history" portions designed to get issues and points heard and give Senator Booker small breaks) and Senator Kaine's office said he was scheduled to do so soon... I also called Cory Booker's office and left a message with my thanks appreciation.
It was exciting to watch Senator Booker blow past the previous record held by the penultimate, racist bigot, Strom Thurmond! And to have a black man do it is the icing on the cake!
When I saw parts of his testimony I wondered how long he will last. He didn't lie for trump. That has to be a mark against him in trump's little black book of people who don't stand 110% behind him!
Thank you, Senator Booker!!!! So much respect for you fighting the fight for our country!!!! THANK YOU!!!!

Yes! Thank you, Alexander Vindman, for these wonderful words about the courageous Senator Booker.

I wonder if Booker’s action annoyed Carville, who had just claimed his “lie down, play dead” method for the Dems was working.
