Dear readers,
Happy Thanksgiving!
Like many of you, I’ve been closely watching the developments since election day - and I think you already know how I feel. Ahead of us there’s work to be done and battles to be won and the stakes couldn’t be higher.
With that in mind, I wanted to pause and take a moment and reflect on what I’ve been thankful for over the past year.
I’m thankful for the sacrifice my father made so that my family and I could live in the United States of America. I am proud to be an American and I love this country more than anything. We shouldn’t let politics get in the way of appreciating how fortunate we are to live in the United States and we should always think about what we can do to make our country a better place.
I’m thankful for my brother Eugene, my wife Rachel, and my loving family. We are nothing without the support of those around us, and I’m eternally grateful that my family has stood by my side through thick-and-thin.
I’m thankful that millions of Americans - including you - continue to fight for what’s right and push back against an agenda that would fundamentally reshape life in America. Things may seem bleak at the moment, but we are not alone. We must focus our energy on the coming midterm elections and celebrate the small victories when we can find them. This moment will pass.
Wishing You and Your Families a Happy Thanksgiving,
Alexander Vindman
We feel gratitude mostly for people such as you are who come here and work so hard to improve this very imperfect model of a democracy which is becoming less liberal every year!!
Happy Thanksgiving, Alex. Stand tall.
