This looks like preparation for a coup. And I’ve read that Musk is threatening to take down Starlink if Zelenskyy doesn’t agree to give the US 50% of its minerals. This is flat out extortion.

This looks like it IS a coup already. If you like your coups really classic, and aren't happy without generals and an army invading the castle/fortress/capitol building and tossing the elected leader, please consider the leader was elected to be a democratic leader and the tossing is of the entire system - so much more fundamental than one human. Even so, we also have an un-elected leader entering federal buildings with (reportedly) armed private security bullies, throwing out the federal workers, locking the doors, at times pulling in couches and enacting siege behavior, and breaking into the computer programming systems (he may have been given the passwords but he supposedly wasn't given permission to make the alterations he clearly has). Regardless of the permissions he may have been given in a global sense by FFOTUS, any permissions leading to these actions were illegal. That's pretty much even a classic coup. If it takes shots fired to qualify as a coup (it doesn't; hence the term "bloodless coup") then that's still possible too, especially if one of the requirements for these new under-qualified military leaders is that they will be willing to fire on American civilians.

What DT was wrong on so many levels. The US miliary is based on integrity and merit based promotion.

Thanks for these insights which you are uniquely equipped to provide.

PLEASE do not forget to include that immediately after Ignoration Day, Benedict Donald fired the Commandant of the United States Coast Guard, Adm. Linda Fagan. I gather that in addition to being a woman, her shortcomings included having succeeded last year in achieving Coast Guard all-around recruiting goals for the first time since 2017.

Note: For some years, I have been perplexed that almost never do U.S. diplomats, and hence U.S. politicians, mention Putin's invasion and ongoing occupation of a very large chunk of Georgia the country. I suspect that most Americans have forgotten about it, assuming they ever knew. Yet clearly it's been a model for the iterative amputations of parts of Ukraine. Could you provide some perspectives? Thanks. And best to you, your brothers, and your family.

If he goes to Russia he should stay there. And take Muck and Vance with him.

So, when are we going to see the military respond to the peaceful protests going on around the country.? You know so that they can 'just shoot them in the legs'? This is what the Dastardly Duo want. They want the people subjugated by any means! And what better way to stop protests than by sending the military that will no longer have the JAGs to tell them, "No, you can't do that, it's NOT legal." We all know that legality means nothing to trump & his sycophants. As bad as George W was with his 'enhanced interrogation' techniques at least he had attorneys throw up a smokescreen of legality that permitted the enhanced interrogation technique of waterboarding. (No, that's not torture it's 'just' enhanced interrogation.)

~~~It's going to get uglier & uglier in this country & the clock is ticking on the finality of elimination consistutional safeguards.
Question: Why was Tommy Tuberville able to put a stop to military advancements, pretty much single handedly, and yet the Ds in the Senate cannot do more than oppose an up and down vote? I simply do not remember the conditions well enough (Ha! At this point that feels like ancient history!) to compare.
On Ukraine: If Zelensky is blackmailed via threats to withhold Skylink (which Musk is lying about not providing to Russia as shown by captured equipment) into handing over mineral rights in Ukraine then I absolutely hope that if Ukraine is able to eventually back Russia out of their country and gain NATO membership, they then proclaim any such agreement void and requiring renegotiation. It's fine to say "don't negotiate with blackmailers or kidnappers" but when it's your country or your child... the dishonor of the dealing is such that the deal itself should stand only so long as absolutely necessary. I am awash in shame on behalf of this country.
Thank you so very much for sharing your perspective on all this. Rump has always enjoyed firing people. It was a big part of his reality show, and it appears that he's brought that power trip with him to the White House. I suspect that the Mump team has been very thorough in researching candidates for removal. Replacement of staff will be a whimsical endeavor with minimal consideration of resumés. A determined recipe for failure.
As for Ukraine, my heart is breaking.
Solid advice and analysis. They have the initiative by the rules of the board. We play black. (Chess not racism.) I don’t see them prevailing.
