Please take advantage of the official Ukrainian website to donate to their defense and other choices. Go to u24.gov.ua and give whatever you can. Zelenskyy thanked the US people for our support— can you spare ten bucks?

Great idea and thanks for sharing. I’m so ashamed of the US and what Trump is doing

Please spread the link widely. If our damn government won’t listen to the people it allegedly serves, we’ll just have to take matters into our own hands.

I just spread shared your post on Facebook and I have given recently to this cause . There is a rep or senator named Jon Kelly, I believe, who used this to give support to Ukraine, no the Democratic Party.

Made my donation last week. You can pick from an array of options to support.

Thanks for sharing, Auntie Beans. I appreciate an organization such as United 24 where "many excellent projects" are listed. A friend shared this link as well, suggesting it is "a vetted organization." I am especially heartened that there are a host of projects across organizations with a focus on humanitarian aid to the Ukrainian people.

Info most people probably don't know.

Regardless of what people may think about W's invasion of Iraq, in 2003 Ukraine sent 1,700 troops, the 3rd largest allied contingents to join American and other allied forces in Kuwait and Iraq and Ukrainian forces stayed until December 2008. Sadly, not all of Ukraine's sons returned home safely.

Ukraine was there for us following 9/11. Benedict Donald, America's draft-dodger Quisling president who thinks that Americans who gave their lives on behalf of our country were "suckers and losers," has a very curious way of showing thanks.

I wonder, couldn't another interested party provide some of these logistics?

It seems to me that the future of Ukraine also impacts our other (allies for now) in many regards.

We have alliances with Japan and Taiwan who may no longer assume we will have their backs and may wish to form closer ties with Europe and others against China, Russia, and North Korea and not just them, all must feel they can no longer trust the USA.

I can't imagine everyone relies on the USA for this intelligence and satellite positioning. It seems it would be in their interest to form additional alliances not tied to us or is it the systems in the weapons themselves?

Someone fill me in.

Those are good thoughts. Thank you for sharing. What a plight Trump has put us in.

I looked it up and "Canada manufactures military weapons for the United States, making the US the largest buyer of Canadian military exports."

So, maybe Canada can provide some of these weapons for Ukraine sale instead with EU money and scale up manufacturing?

It could help their economy and Ukraine at the same time if they already have some of this capacity.

I am so ashamed of my country's purported leadership. Deciding foreign policy by the thinness of your skin is pretty much rock bottom. But what can you expect of a president who thinks taking over the Panama Canal or Greenland by force is just hunky dory.

While the damn price of eggs soars. I do hope that those MAGATs protesting at town halls are pleased at being labeled outside agitators. Democrats who are constituents of the MAGA reps are of course subhuman and have no right to protest.

I'm donating what I can.

If you wish to, and haven’t already expressed support of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy following the abominable way in which he was disrespected in the oval office (given its present occupant, I RESIST the inclination to capitalize the two preceding words), options may be to send an email, a letter, or call the Embassy of the Ukraine in the United States of America:

https://usa.mfa.gov.ua/en

Embassy of the Ukraine in the United States of America

3350 M Street N.W.

Washington D.C., 20007

+1-202-349-2963 (I called this number yesterday and today where it is not identifying who I am calling, rather just noting that I may leave a message for x2963; I choose not to leave a message.)

Yesterday, I sent an email apologizing on behalf of America, in the company of many Americans, honoring President Zelenskyy for his courage and integrity as a world leader of Democracy. I requested that my message be brought to the attention of Andrii Sybiha, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

Also, options for making donations on behalf of Ukrainians, following is pertinent information. A friend shared that Timothy Snyder posted these organizations on his Substack. I donated to RAZOM, which is described below.

"PS: If you would like to help Ukrainians yourself, consider Come Back Alive (Ukrainian NGO that supports soldiers), United 24 (the Ukrainian state platform for donations, with many excellent projects), RAZOM (an American NGO, tax-deductible for US citizens, which cooperates with Ukrainian NGOS to support civilians), and Documenting Ukraine (a project I help run that helps to give Ukrainians a voice, also tax-deductible for Americans)."
