Am I the only one thinking, “why does the reality TV show host think that he has the say over what happens to the Ukraine“

And why is everyone else playing along?

I often wonder that same thing.

What gave Trump the power to murder some 750,000 of his OWN supporters, donors and voters with Covid? And with ZERO noticeable complaint from family members to this day? (And I live in the Deep South, sadly.)

(Well, other than his hatred for Obama, of course, thus Trump's refusal to implement the Obama administration's Pandemic Plan. That hate, combined with criminal negligence gave Trump quite a bit of "freedom" to kill.)

And that was just Trump's "trial balloon" example. After he saw how easy it was to kill "little people", his murderous recent gift to billionaires was a given.

“… the last people to speak often shape his decision.” (trump)

So glad the Europeans went there to be seen & heard! They truly have more ‘skin in the game’ than Trump or America, and Trump needed to be called on his Russia-Ukraine fence-sitting.

That a supposedly ‘American’ president needs this EU nudging speaks volumes about his dubious motives for being president at all.

I think pressure enmasse from EU. They came to support President Zelenskyy and were not going to cede to Putin. Had President Zelenskyy traveled alone, ut would have been another ambush.

In the photo I saw of the meeting, JD Vance was sitting against the back wall with Hegseth and Rubio. He must have been livid watching the Europeans diplomatically slap Trump down and reorient him to support of Ukraine, especially the sale of $90 billion of US weapons to Ukraine. Vance wants very much to cut and run as far away from Ukraine as he can get. Ditto Hegseth. SignalGate showed that both of them despise Europe and both of them want to stop helping Europe with anything, but especially military and defense issues. It wouldn’t surprise me if Vance now tries to get in Trump’s ear and walk back these small gains.

Then again, I saw that Zelensky talked at length with Keith Kellogg Monday morning before the Trump meeting, so maybe Z can get the US military guys on his side as well as the Europeans, and the combination will carry the day with Trump, instead of the extreme isolationist Europe haters.

Words ere spoken. Now let's see how they are acted on. What will the whim of the day be for trump? If he has a mad on, he'll probably send the national guard into a new blue city.

My hope is the US stands up and fulfills our obligation we made to Ukraine when they formed their country independent of Russia.

Thank you, Alexander for being a clear voice on what is happening in Ukraine. Americans are for Ukraine and we need to get our voice louder and we do need to see an end of the war, but I do think the stealing of the children should be publicized enough to get people, angry and demanding answers.

Alexander, thank you for the information about today’s meeting at the White House with the admirably brave and wise V. Zelensky and the wise and supportive European heads of state. I am thankful to have heard your summary and to know

that they were greeted politely, closer to a way befitting of a leader of our country for a change.

P. S. According to Mary Trump's clip of today's meeting, at least as I understood it to be of today's meeting at the White House, T. again was rude to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, suggesting that V. Zelenskyy could end the war immediately if he wanted. Of course, we know that posdibility is not true, not with any fairness whatsoever to Ukraine, to President Zelenskyy, or to all of the people he represents and cares about. I will watch more of what Mary is showing on her message for this date. If that clip is indeed from today, I was wrong in my message above to think that Trump's behavior was anywhere near more fitting for a leader of our country. To have said that to his guest was wrong and inappropriate, uncaring, unfair, and a totally cruel thoyght toward Ukraine, and the Ukrainian people. I do believe I understood Mary correctly that that was from today, August 18, because of what V. Zelenskyy was wearing, and because of the gold splashed on the fireplace mantle in the background. I could not see a date on the visual, but I do believe I heard Mary correctly. Now I will continue with watching that. I wanted to crack myself here before watching more of her presentation. It is shameful that anyone who supposedly is the leader of our country would be rude and uncaring toward the leader of Ukraine. In turn, by that action to their leader, t is being cruel to all of the people of Ukraine.

“There’s no deal until there is a deal...”

As far as I can tell, Trump is the ONLY person at this meeting not perfectly aware of this (or almost any) reality.

But then, as a "deal-maker", no one ever knows what Trump will do until someone writes a book about it with Trump's name on the cover, and explains what Trump will have have done so perfectly when he did no such thing.

Wish I could see something positive. Trump was on his “good” behavior as he was out numbered.wouldn’t believe a thing he said as he is still Putin puppet. When / if the three get together it will be 2 against 1.cant help but still wonder what he has on trump ?as for no

U.S. troops on the ground that would take them away from terrorizing the citizens of our country.
