Admittedly, I'm no foreign policy or negotiation expert but I don't see how it's possible to 'negotiate' on Ukraine's behalf without discussing it with them or having them there...for an outcome they don't want.

As for preparation, we know Trump barely knows how to read and has surrounded himself with syncophants with no expertise in anything, let alone the delicate dance this negotiation ought to be. The ability to prepare for a meeting like this is most likely being handled by a party planner who is good at knowing where to put the ketchup at meals and that Trump needs a big enough chair for his butt. Little else.

It doesn’t take an expert to see that Trump only real strategy is to induce chaos into every situation to the point that only HE can make the final decision. He was obviously traumatized at a very early age and no one helped him process being bullied. Perhaps he needs to be hypnotized so he could back and identify who it was and get even with them in order to heal.,,,, or not. It’s probably too late.

Police understand interrogation.

Trump has stopped by the police station to see why they asked him in. He knows more than this dumb KGB patrolman, he thinks he’ll leave Putin so bedazzled by his crafty thoughts, that he will stop the war.

“Any lawyer worth his salt will tell [a] suspect in no uncertain terms to make no statement to police under any circumstances.”

So said Supreme Court Justice Robert Jackson fifty years ago. Strong words from a man who had served as the Attorney General of the United States and as the Chief Prosecutor at Nuremburg. Common-sense words, too: Every kid who has watched a re-run of TV cop shows knows that “you have the right to remain silent” when the police come knocking.

Jackson, RH comments quoted

Was Jackson a woke defendant attorney? Hardly.

Is Trump going to listen to Putin? When has he listened to anyone? Putin is going to go through the tiresome threads of Donald’s scrambled strategies, and craft a path through them to find a win. Good Cop is all he needs.

The cops aren’t your friends. Every admission is a concession. “How much have you had to drink?” Is answered by reference to the Fifth Amendment, even if it makes you feel like a p*ssy. Cops thrive on smart, macho confidence from a perp.

Putin will use Mohammad Ali’s “rope a dope” strategy and Trump will be defeated,,, again,,, but sell it as a total victory. Putin wants Alaska back.

“One proposal includes extending mining rights to Russian firms for operations in Alaska or occupied Eastern Ukraine …” in what alternative universe is this a consideration?!

This is all just Trumpian THEATRE to take the heat off the Epstein files.

Sure, Trump wants a quick win to line him up for a ‘Noble’ prize, but Putin won’t give him that.

He did toss Trump a little bauble of a false compliment — ‘If Trump had been president in 2022 Putin wouldn’t have felt compelled to start this war.’ … as if!
