This Weekend, Chicago!
Chicago Council on Global Affairs, WGN, and Daley Plaza
Dear Readers,
This weekend I will be in Chicago, Illinois for a series of public engagements. Tomorrow, August 21st at 5:30 pm CT I will be speaking with John Gans at the Chicago Council on Global Affairs. This talk is titled “The Folly of Realism: Russia, Ukraine, and US Foreign Policy” and covers several topics raised in my recent book. Click here to register for this event.
On Friday, August 22nd, I will be doing a live interview with WGN’s Paul M. Lisnek covering The Folly of Realism. Paul is an excellent political analyst and I look forward to our conversation on Russia and Ukraine. Tune in here between 12:15pm and 12:30pm CT to hear our conversation.
Later on Friday at 1:30pm I will be joining members of Chicago’s Ukrainian community and other local leaders for a special flag-raising ceremony in Daley Plaza to commemorate Ukrainian Independence Day. I’ll be delivering a speech to mark the occasion - if you’re in the area, come down to the Loop and join me in celebrating Ukrainian Independence Day!

You probably won’t get unscheduled time, but we had a great lunch at a Ukrainian place called Krasa Craft Restaurant, burgers and shawarma.
