Thank You for Supporting The Folly of Realism — and Democracy
Reflections three months after publication
Over the past few months, I’ve had the privilege of traveling across the country to speak about The Folly of Realism and the urgent foreign policy and national security challenges facing our country. From bookstores and university halls to national security forums and community gatherings, I’ve been deeply moved by the thoughtfulness, curiosity, and patriotism of those of you who joined these conversations. Thank you to everyone who purchased a copy of the book, came to an event, or helped spread the word. These past few months have always been about more than a book, as I truly believe we must stand together and reclaim our collective power to make a change.
I also want to extend a heartfelt thanks to those of you who recently supported my twin brother Eugene Vindman’s campaign through a special signed-book fundraiser. In late February and early March, many of you purchased a signed copy of The Folly of Realism and simultaneously contributed to his mission to bring principled leadership back to Congress. All proceeds over the sale price went solely to his reelection campaign, raising him nearly $50,000 for his next run in a crucial battleground district. I couldn’t be prouder of Eugene or more grateful for your support.
I have a lot of exciting projects coming soon to Substack, but I wanted to take a moment to personally thank each of you for your support. I’m glad to have you with me on this journey.
With gratitude,
Alex

As this weekend we honor and remember the hundreds of thousands of patriotic Americans, loyal to our Nation, who "gave their last full measure of devotion," and hence derided by one wretch as being "suckers and losers," I want to thank you and your brother for your own steadfast dedication to helping to "secure the blessings of Liberty to Ourselves and our Posterity."
Alex, Thank you for your service. Thank you for keeping us with eyes wide open to what is right before us. For a president who never served this country and who has no understanding of what it truly means to serve in the military. president trump is the loser. To wear the uniform of any of the military services is an honor, which I did US AIR FORCE. Alex please continue the good fight.
