When I watched Zelensky’s television series on cable before the invasion, I was impressed with the beauty of the country. Ornate buildings, beautiful landscape. It’s heartbreaking to see the damage that has been done to it. There is no doubt in my mind that somehow tfg/failure45 is involved.
This is exactly why Americans who value their freedom need to come together and vote for it. There are too many in our government who are causing chaos and pitting Americans against each other instead of fostering unity. These people need to be voted out, and those who are intent on destroying the Constitutional order which grants us our freedom must be prevented from holding office. All citizens who think freedom "just is" need to realize they are instrumental in keeping it.
Not just here in our country, but in all countries who embrace freedom and denounce living by the whims of tyrants. We are all connected.
I agree with Celeste that Americans need to come together around our Constitutional values and vote for the good of democracy. I would expand on that: there is a good chance of unrest, no matter the outcome of the election. Important action to take *now* is to learn how to *effectively* stand up for what is right after the election. Knowing the basics of nonviolent action (per ML King and Gandhi) and getting connected with like minds now is something to consider.
Thank you for such a clear description of the aspirations of Ukrainian people and how bribes, corruption, and greed damage the goals of democracy.
This is the type of international history that American high school students should be learning about from their freshman year onwards.
