The October 7 attack was a calculated act designed to pursue Iran's strategic interests. That is indisputable.
I believe President Biden has done the best he can in this situation and trust Kamala Harris to act in good faith and do her best to ensure democracy is protected and American interests are served.
On the other hand, I do not trust Trump to do the same. Not even a little.
It was to take over the LAND. Although genetics makes it abundantly clear that almost all Jews and Palestinians share similar genetics, indicating the are both from the same region, Hamas is unwilling to share, and wants every bit of land- Gaza, West Bank, Jordan, and Israel.
It seems to me that Netanyahu is the one who wants all the land. The Israelis are constantly pushes the Palestinians out. Have you ever seen the video of the Israeli who simply takes a Palestinian woman’s home away from her? He just declares that it’s his!!!
I hear the opposite. That Israel wants it all and is not willing to share. See? This is what I mean. So much conflict. It’s all very sad. It would be nice to know how this all came to be.
I think we need to look to those who might know more about this issue. My sister looks to Norman Finkelstein who has written books and studied this. He was a professor who lost his tenure for speaking out against Israel. I don’t know much about it. However, I have seen how Israelis treat the Palestinians. This is an extremely complicated issue that has been going on for years. I don’t have an answer. All I know is that we all share this planet. There is too much bigotry and stubborn hatred that unfortunately gets passed down through generations.
Hamas does not care one bit for the Palestinians. Hamas is a radical Islamic terror organization that wants to spread its ideology in the region. It wants to wipe Israel off the face of the planet, as stated in its charter. Same with Hezbollah. If you would like to learn about Hamas and the false perception that it is a legitimate “resistance” movement, read what Ahmed Fouad Alkhatib has to say. He is a Palestinian American from Gaza who lost many members of his family in the war: https://www.newsweek.com/its-been-year-failure-pro-palestine-activism-following-october-7-opinion-1964921
Here is some information about the current situation. Which region best represents you own values?
Israel is an ethnically and religiously diverse country with~78% Jewish and ~20% Muslim citizens. Citizens include people of all colors and sexual orientations. All citizens over 18 can vote, education and healthcare is free for all, and people can have any job regardless of ethnicity, religion, gender or sexual orientation. For example, Muslims, women, and LGBTQ are represented in Parliament, medicine, academia, businesses, the media and more…
In 2007, ALL of Gaza was ceded by Israel to the Palestinians. Hamas was elected by the people of Gaza. Hamas ethnically-cleansed Gaza, such that over 99% of Gazans are Muslim Arabs. LGBTQ orientation is illegal. Polygamy is widely practiced—and the “sister wives” are not happy about this. One of the Sharia laws enforced is that that women are entitled to only half the inheritance of men (worse, 88% of women received none of the inheritance to which they are entitled).

Why did Hamas attack Israel? I don’t believe it was to “Kill Jews”. Maybe it had to do with the way Israel was treating the Palestinians?
They said themselves it was to kill Jews.

I’m not so sure about that!! This seems to be the consensus of all Jews that I know.

Thank you for laying this out so clearly.
