This afternoon I had the pleasure of speaking to Max Foster on CNN’s What We Know. Our discussion coverd the future of European security in a time of American uncertainty and the long-term challenge posed by Russia and its authoritarian allies.

As usual, Lt Colonel Vindman, you gave straight, honest analysis. Wish Foster didn’t have to cut you off because his show director made him hurry up for the next commercial or guest, or whatever. This is why I appreciate your work on Substack. You don’t have to be rushed off!
OK, good interview! (Got my sound restored). Yes, by the time the Trump admin is gone Europe will have built its military capabilities back to a stronger state & be a more full-fledged partner vs Russia … who by then may be recovering from its Ukraine war & be seeking to dominate in other areas of Europe.
Sad how we have to speak so ‘diplomatically’ (pussy-foot) when discussing current U.S. pro-Russia stance. Trump doesn’t have the courage to state his pro-Russia view & the rationale behind it … because it’s his personal & business POV and has nothing to do with America’s interests in supporting democracy either at home or in Europe.
