Let's Talk About Immigration
On a new special podcast called The American Fabric
This week, you can hear me tell my immigration story on a special podcast series called The American Fabric. It’s hosted by my wife Rachel, and I’m proud to share not only our own conversation about immigration, but the words of other migrants, historians, elected leaders, and more.
It’s a 3-episode series that you can find here or by searching for Rachel’s podcast The Suburban Women Problem on your podcast app. You can also find it on YouTube.
Immigration is a hugely important issue in this election year. Lately, it seems to be Trump’s only real talking point. Both he and JD Vance aren’t hesitating to spread disinformation and fear about immigrants - their disgusting lies about Haitian immigrants are sowing chaos in Springfield Ohio, and Trump’s dehumanizing words and plans for “mass deportations” are chilling.
Anti-immigrant rhetoric is harmful and frankly un-American. My own immigration background has deeply informed my patriotism and sense of duty towards The United States. It’s why I chose to testify against Trump in 2019 and it’s why I continue to fight for our democracy every single day.
To hear me tell my own story of arriving in this country as a refugee, how Rachel and I met, and my thoughts on why immigration is a cornerstone of this nation, don’t miss The American Fabric - hosted on The Suburban Women Problem podcast.

Immigration is the life blood of this great nation.
The only way to build the wall AND have mass detentions is to send them to the border and work them to death, leave them to dry up in the desert and build a wall of corpses.
