Okay now - Greece has just gone up several notches on my bucket list. I’m also taking a break as I write this but I will always read what you have to say regardless. Again, many thanks for your good work.
Thank you for this story. It is a break all by itself. Last week, I learned that shifting to a different project also can provide a break. I was part of a team working on preparation for a church yard sale. That meant both physical and mental focus needed to be on that, leaving minimal time for other stresses.
Thank you for the wonderful descriptions and photos! Greece had been on my bucket list ever since 7th grade when I had a teacher from there. I’ve never forgotten her, and the exposure to her culture.
Beautiful pictures. Your daughter looks so much like you. I go on a Greek cruise to those same places at the end of September. Thank you for the preview. Thank you for sharing.
Sounds like a well-deserved and wonderfully relaxing trip! Did you happen to go to the Kotsanas Museum of Ancient Greek Technology in Athens? It is amazing, and I think you would enjoy it on many levels.
Going to the Old World brings you a reassuring conservativism, that nothing is new under the sun. Modern American political nonsense is nothing new. If Zeus wished to make a man immortal, he turned them into a bad political idea. Those never die.
I love the travel log of your trip, Alexander. The pictures are breathtaking! I so enjoyed your comments on each stop. So interesting. But the best part is the looks of joy on all of your faces! What a wonderful way to rejuvenate yourselves. And think of the memories made! Thanks so much for sharing your trip. (PS. It’s fascinating about the similarities of the two languages.)
What a wonderful trip and well deserved time off! I am happy for you and your family!
Oh my gosh thank you for the virtual vicarious vacation! Thank you for sharing, and my regards to you and your beautiful family.
Amazing photography! Taking your family to the birthplace of democracy at this time is inspired. Thank you for sharing.

P.S. I discovered I can read Greek. The Russian alphabet is almost entirely a copy of the Greek alphabet.
Very interesting World trivia! Glad you took some well deserved time out!
It looks pretty HOT there … but do Insee snow capped peaks in one photo ? Enjoy!
