What they remember is some fuzzy rose colored memory of Reagan. But all the previous ones were at least business as usual Republicans, terrible policies but not the "end of the world as we know it" bat-shit crazy we are facing now. The nostalgic Reagan fans refuse to acknowledge that Trump didn't invent all of this, it was part of their party for a long time. Mango Mussilini amped up the dog whistles to bullhorns. But Reagan would never have gone along with being buddies of Putin, and Cold War presidents probably would have boots on the ground and not just aid for Ukraine. Keep fighting the good fight!
You have said it all. We have to do everything we can to hold the line and prevent those people from destroying the country. Any Republicans who rise up against this threat would be heroes in history. Just think of the good things that can be accomplished, all of the things most Americans have been asking for. Let's do it.
A very upbeat post that was much needed this morning after listening to ongoing “bad” poll numbers on Biden from a couple major networks. I don’t believe these “polls”, and I used to do Marketing Research. I believe how people are voting. Republicans aren’t happy with their candidate.
Who would be happy with Trump’s view of people...to him just about everyone is vermin. That is how he chooses to see people but what if we were to see the positive things in those same people? It is how the great master taught us to see. But we could see the worst if we follow the man Putin has in his back pocket. I say along with our master, be kind to one another. We are great now, not because of Trump.
What gets me is how the GOP is still trying to hold onto the mantle of Reagan while fully bending the knee to Trump.
