As the moon shimmered through the night sky, I too found myself on the verge of a veritable gratitude trip. “We the people",” that’s us, the people who busted their asses for months to make this happen, they deserve a fucking medal. They raised awareness, registered voters and made sure people knew where to go and how to vote. It was like watching a democracy machine in action, and it was beautiful, for “We the People.”
These citizens were on fire for justice and freedom. They organized armies of volunteers, marched through the night and painted the picture of a united nation, a tapestry woven of goals and views. They were the ones who whispered hope, who shared the dream of a better future, and they did it with a ferocity that would make a Republican blush.
They could feel the energy in the air. They organized, strategized and mobilized to make sure every single voice was heard. They were the ones who lit a fire in every soul, who made sure we all knew our duty and reached for the stars. They were the ones who danced the dance of democracy with the power of a thousand suns.
And now, as the sun rises, we can bask in the glow of their victory. We can raise our voices in unison and sing a hymn of thanks, a heartfelt tribute to the beauty of democracy's embrace. For "We the People" who have given everything, who have defied all odds, who have ensured that justice prevails.
So let's raise a glass, my fellow Americans, to these citizens who have made it. Let's raise a toast to their passion, their ferocity and their spirit. Let's celebrate the triumph of democracy and remember that it was these freedom fighters who made it all possible.
I currently live in Miami, under suppressive and authoritarian ruler, who shall not be named. He is the root of a Kakistocracy kleptocratic, lift” wearing, pudding finger loving, atrocious, shell of a man; and those are his good attributes.
That said, I never allow myself to get caught up in the horse race a year out. Life’s way too short. Additionally, most of these pundits and faux election experts, whose only purpose in life is to get raise my blood pressure into the stratosphere, are causing undo outrage for ratings.
Here is some support to go along with what you have to say about the issue of polls. I selected some quotes from the piece linked to below:
*
“Despite the ‘hair-on-fire’, ‘sky-is-falling’ tone we’ve seen from media coverage over the last few days, political predictions more than a year out tend to look a little different a year later. Gallup predicted an eight-point loss for President Obama only for him to win handedly a year later. A year out from the 2022 midterms, every major outlet similarly predicted a grim forecast for President Biden,” Tyler said in the memo.”
/
“Tyler cited polling that showed Biden leading Trump or is tied with the former president from Oct. 17 through Nov. 6, including polls from NPR/PBS/Marist, Yahoo News/YouGov, USA/Suffolk, and Quinnipiac University, among others. “In recent days, the New York Times/Siena College poll has gotten non-stop attention to the exclusion of nearly every other poll. But if you zoom out, you’ll see a more complete picture. There have been eight polls in the past three weeks showing President Biden leading or tied with Donald Trump,” Tyler said.”
/
“He [Tyler] quoted economist Daniel Kahneman in the memo, who said: “Most successful pundits are selected for being opinionated, because it’s interesting, and the penalties for incorrect predictions are negligible.”
Tyler also outlined that Biden won more votes than any presidential candidate in U.S. history in the 2020 election, and that he is the only person to beat Trump.”

“We the people” are rebuilding.
And the work must continue every day until Election Day in November 2024.
"But what about the Biden poll numbers, you ask? Well…I’ll take your polls and raise you election results."
Exactly.
Perfect!

Enough said!...:)
We moved from Virginia and now we live under the same authoritarian ruler but just a few miles north of you :)
You have my sincerest condolences...:)
